ABOUT 

Sudhee Liao is currently based in Singapore and Hong Kong. She obtained her BFA from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts majoring in Contemporary Dance and Choreography.

 

She shifts between the roles of being an interdisciplinary choreographer, movement artist and educator. Her experience is wide ranging having worked extensively with international artists. She has presented works in different platforms and festivals. Amidst the ebb and flow of her surroundings, her work is a response to the nuances and intricacies that define the human experience that embraces the ever-evolving nature of our existence.

 

Her creative practice explores the intricacies of movement, weaving together threads of identity and socio-political currents. She adds a multidimensional layer to her work by integrating movement with different materials. It is an on-going exploration encapsulating the fleeting moments between intangible and tangible forms. Her work navigates the fluidity of cultural identity and the power dynamics inherent in our global society. Her work serves as a vessel of exploration, reflection and ultimately, transformation.
